Over 17.3 million Poles fully vaccinated for COVID-19: gov't data

A total of 34,221,338 COVID-19 vaccine shots have been administered in Poland so far, including 117,100 over the last 24 hours, officials announced on Friday.

Public health authorities said that 13,807 adverse reactions had been reported among those who received the vaccines by Friday morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 161,555 doses have been wasted in the rollout, according to the Polish health ministry.

As of Friday, Poland had injected more than 18.2 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while over 17.3 million people had been fully inoculated, health ministry data showed.

The tally includes two-dose vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca as well as Johnson & Johnson's one-shot vaccine.

Poland on Friday reported 108 new coronavirus infections and four more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the country's total number of cases during the pandemic to 2,881,948 and fatalities to 75,235.
