The previous evening, the train stopped at Warsaw’s Centralna train station.

The train's journey is one of the elements of the European Green Deal project, which is being implemented in the European Union to support environmental measures.

The Connecting Europe Express is travelling through Europe as a symbol of the EU's rail aspirations.

While much remains to be done to create a uniform rail network in Europe, the European Commission is promoting rail as a sustainable mode of transport with the Connecting Europe Express.

The train includes a special carriage from the Hungarian Railways that hosts an exhibition prepared by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. There is also a conference car presented by the French Railway company, an Italian restaurant car, and passenger carriages from German and Swiss rail companies.

Radio Poland's Agnieszka Bielawska has the story.
