Held together with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the conference has attracted government officials and members of various international and civil society organisations, in addition to academics, leaders of Jewish communities and local activists.
The event aims to offer a platform for dialogue on challenges and good practices in addressing anti-Semitism, according to the osce.org website.
The list of participants includes Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau and OSCE Secretary-General Helga Schmid, alongside the UN's Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief, Ahmed Shaheed; ODIHR Director Matteo Mecacci; and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's Special Representative on Anti-Semitism, Racism and Intolerance, Sen. Ben Cardin.
The conference focuses on four main topics: current risks and challenges of combating anti-Semitism in the OSCE area; addressing anti-Semitism online; fostering the revival of Jewish life and the role of local activists; and addressing anti-Semitism and anti-Roma discrimination in and through education, according to osce.org.
