According to Polish state news agency PAP, Russian media reported that their country's Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a Polish citizen with diplomatic status.

In an interview with Polish private broadcaster Polsat, Polish foreign ministry spokesman Łukasz Jasina said that “in some Russian media, this case is being deceitfully presented as the arrest of a Polish diplomat."

He added: "Indeed, this person was arrested. She was ordered to leave Russia, but she only had diplomatic immunity as an employee of an international organization."

Jasina told Polsat that the woman "did not seek help from the Polish embassy or consulate."

The Interfax news agency, citing Russia’s FSB, said the woman was detained red-handed “while accepting a bribe for preparing fake documentation of duty exemption on alcohol imports.”

She was reportedly ordered to leave Russia within a week.
