Poles favour Americans, Italians, disapprove of Russians, Belarusians: survey

A new survey finds that Poles hold Americans in high regard among nations, followed by Italians, Czechs, Slovaks and Britons.

Meanwhile, Russians top the list of disliked nations, with Belarusians also facing strong disapproval, pollster CBOS said.

Sixty-five percent of respondents expressed a positive view of Americans, while 63 percent felt the same about Italians.

Forty percent expressed favorable opinions about Ukrainians and Germans.

Conversely, 76 percent held negative sentiments toward Russians, and 47 percent disapproved of Belarusians.

The study, conducted from January 11 to 21, surveyed 1,015 respondents, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
