Adriatic Express: Summer train to link Warsaw with Croatian coast

Poland’s Ministry of Sport and Tourism has confirmed that direct trains from Warsaw to the Croatian coastal city of Rijeka will operate between 27 June and 29 August.

The seasonal route is expected to serve holidaymakers heading to the Adriatic Sea, offering a convenient alternative to air travel.

The connection follows growing interest in affordable, sustainable travel options across Europe.

Summer train link from Warsaw to Rijeka confirmed

“We are especially keen to welcome tourists from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic,” said Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Piotr Borys during a press briefing.

The politician noted that over half a million Czechs visited Poland last year, many choosing holidays on the Baltic Sea. “Paradoxically, climate change is working in our favour,” he added.

Further details on timetables and ticket prices are to be announced by Polish rail operators in the coming weeks.
