The ministry published a draft regulation setting the 2026 qualification window from February 2 to April 30. About 235,000 people are expected to receive summonses, compared with 230,000 a year earlier.
Calls will cover 18-year-olds born in 2007 and men aged 20–24 (born 2002–2006) who have not yet fulfilled the obligation to appear.
Women born 1999–2007 with skills useful for military service, volunteers over 18, and people up to 60 with unresolved military status will also be summoned.
Those required to appear must bring identification, a school certificate and medical documentation. During qualification, personal data are verified and entered into the military register. Medical and psychological examinations determine a fitness category.
Participation in the qualification does not constitute conscription, the ministry said, though attendees can obtain information about options to join the armed forces.
