There were around 857,300 people without jobs across the nation at the end of July, up by 26,600 from a month earlier, according to the government.
The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the Polish jobless rate had risen to 5.4 percent in July, from 5.2 percent in June.
Meanwhile, the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated this month that unemployment in Poland stood at 3.1 percent in July, marking the fourth-lowest rate in the 27-nation bloc.
