Kopacz, who is autistic and holds two PhDs in education, combines literature and technology in creative ways - including turning Adam Mickiewicz’s Forefathers’ Eve into an escape room.
Her students describe her as “more than just a teacher,” saying she helps them believe in their potential.
“I’ve had my own challenges - autism, ADHD and dyslexia - but I see this not as a limitation, but a spectrum of possibilities,” she said.

This was the 23rd edition of the award, organised by Głos Nauczycielski magazine and Poland’s Ministry of Education.
Special honours went to Aneta Kołton-Janiga, a physics, chemistry and biology teacher a tan inclusive high school in Sosnowiec in southern Poland, and to Mateusz Gruba, an early education and special needs teacher and therapist from the small village of Szemud in northern Poland, while astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski was named Friend of the School.
