Kaczyński has been summoned to testify as a witness in an investigation into the disputed postal vote planned for the 2020 presidential election, journalist Mariusz Gierszewski of Radio ZET originally reported.
Although the hearing had been scheduled for 15 October, Polish Radio 24 later confirmed that the date was postponed by a week.
Earlier this year, prosecutors closed part of the inquiry into the involvement of the Polish Security Printing Works, finding no evidence of wrongdoing.
The case continues to attract scrutiny in Poland over how the 2020 postal vote was handled and its political and financial implications.
The election, which was intended to be conducted entirely by mail due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sparked criticism over costs, data privacy, and legal concerns.
Although the vote never took place and remained in the preparatory phase, more than 66 million PLN (around €14.5 million) was spent on planning.
Audits by the Supreme Audit Office and parliamentary committees later highlighted potential mismanagement and misuse of personal data, estimating losses at 133 million PLN (approximately €29 million).
