The initiative, run in partnership with the GrowSPACE Foundation, will be rolled out on social media platforms from early November and continue until the end of 2025.

According to the ministry, recent data show a troubling increase in crimes driven by prejudice, including attacks based on nationality, ethnicity, race or religion.

"Although hate speech often starts online, it has a destructive impact on everyday life, leading to exclusion, discrimination, and in extreme cases, violence," the ministry said in a statement.

The campaign will also promote positive social values such as respect, empathy, responsibility and equal treatment.

The ministry said its goal is to raise public awareness of what constitutes hate speech and how to respond to it, while highlighting the harm it causes both to victims and perpetrators.

Between January and July, Poland’s National Police Headquarters reported 543 hate-motivated crimes, marking a 41 percent rise compared with the same period a year earlier.
