The incident reportedly occurred over the weekend of 3 January 2026 during a gathering at the Piaseczno unit, which involved alcohol consumption. The platoon commander, holding the rank of commissioner, is alleged to have raped the female officer under his command and coerced her into another sexual act. He is now facing formal disciplinary action.
Following the complaint, the suspect was detained by officers from the Bureau for the Protection of Police Personnel and placed in police custody at the disposal of the prosecutor’s office. A court has ordered his temporary detention for three months.
The alleged victim is receiving psychological support, and the Warsaw Police Headquarters has confirmed that her welfare has been the priority since the incident was reported.
Authorities have stressed that further personnel measures will follow against anyone found responsible for breaching internal rules and procedures, and that the case remains under active investigation.
“By order of the Warsaw Police Commander, proceedings have been initiated to dismiss the platoon commander of the IX Company of the Police Prevention Unit in Warsaw, who took part in a gathering on 3 January that involved alcohol consumption on the premises of the police unit,” the statement released on Thursday via social media said.
