Nearly half of Poles believe a “Polexit” scenario after the 2027 parliamentary election is not realistic, while almost one-third think it is, according to a new SW Research survey commissioned by private media outlet Onet.

Respondents were asked: “Do you think that a scenario of Polexit, that is Poland’s exit from the European Union, after the 2027 elections is realistic?”

Some 45.9% said such a scenario was not realistic, while 29.9% took the opposite view, the survey found.

A notable 24.2% said they had no opinion on the issue, according to Onet.

The survey was conducted on March 25, 2026, using online interviews in SW Research’s internet panel. It covered 811 adults in a nationwide sample.

SW Research said the survey used quota sampling and was representative in terms of gender, age and size of place of residence.
