During the last five years, Kornhauser-Duda has taken part in 514 domestic visits and made 66 trips abroad, both with President Andrzej Duda and on her own, the Polish president’s office said on Monday as it summed up the first lady’s five-year term.

Since she became first lady in 2015, Kornhauser-Duda has attended a total of 1,426 official functions, during which she met about 50,000 people, according to the Polish president’s office.

The first lady has also donated 765 items for charity auctions, helping raise a total of PLN 881,576 (EUR 198,000, USD 223,500) for various causes, the office added.

Kornhauser-Duda in December supported Polish Radio’s Christmas charity drive in which items donated by artists, athletes and celebrities are auctioned on air by the public broadcaster to benefit the needy.

The Polish presidential couple at the end of November threw their support behind an annual food collection drive that aims to help the needy in the run-up to Christmas.

The Polish first lady was in October praised by some for her fashion sense when she represented the country at the enthronement ceremony for the new emperor of Japan in Tokyo.

The Polish head of state is seeking another five years in office in a presidential election scheduled for June 28.
