Men caused more than 74 percent of all accidents last year, while women caused just over 21 percent, according to the report by Poland's Motor Transport Institute.
Mikołaj Krupiński, a spokesman for the institute, said men were much more likely to break the speed limit which, along with failing to give priority, is the most common cause of accidents.
Researchers added, however, that as the number of female drivers increases, the amount of accidents caused by them is on the rise.
Meanwhile, some women are beginning to show typically male aggressive behavior on the roads, public broadcaster Polish Radio reported, citing research findings.
