European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Uznański-Wiśniewski launched his post-flight tour IGNIS – Poland Reaches for the Stars on Wednesday 15 October with an inaugural lecture at the Warsaw University of Technology.

The tour aims to inspire young scientists and engineers by drawing on Uznański-Wiśniewski’s experience from Poland’s first mission to the International Space Station.

The astronaut will discuss microgravity experiments and explore how space research can drive innovation on Earth.

Describing the initiative as “the first Polish Space Masterclass,” Uznański-Wiśniewski said he hopes to share his knowledge widely, particularly with students who will ‘build the future’.

A lecture organised in partnership with the ESA is scheduled for Friday 17 October in Łódź, followed by events in Rzeszów on 28 October and Kielce on 30 October.

All sessions will be streamed live online for audiences across the country.
