"A commission of oncologists will be appointed to decide what to purchase — what medical equipment. This will be real, meaningful help for these children", she said, citing assurances from the Cancer Fighters foundation president.

"The fact that the world has united also matters to them", she added.

Patryk Garkowski, 23, known online as Łatwogang, launched the non-stop YouTube broadcast on April 17 under the motto "I listen for nine days to the cancer diss to help children from the Cancer Fighters Foundation".

The stream featured a continuous loop of the song "Ciągle tutaj jestem (diss na raka)" — "I'm Still Here (diss on cancer)" — recorded by rapper Bedoes 2115 and Maja Mecan, an 11-year-old battling acute myeloid leukemia for the third time.

The stream drew hundreds of thousands of viewers and appearances by some of Poland's best-known public figures, including footballer Robert Lewandowski, singer Doda and chef Magda Gessler. Two influencers, Kasix and Maffashion, shaved their heads on air in solidarity with sick children. On the ninth day alone, more than PLN 11 million (EUR 2.6 million) were donated.
