Swimming: Poland’s Cieślak wins butterfly bronze in Glasgow

Poland’s Marcin Cieślak has taken the bronze in the men’s 100 metres butterfly at the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

Germany’s Marius Kusch won the event on Thursday, with a time of 49.06, while Mikhail Vekovishchev of Russia finished second with 49.53.

Poland’s Cieślak touched in at 49.75.

His third-place finish marked the third medal for Poland at the 2019 European Short-Course Swimming Championships, which began in Glasgow on Wednesday and run until Sunday.

Earlier, Poland’s Radosław Kawęcki won the gold in the men’s 200 metres backstroke and Team Poland including Cieślak won the silver in the men’s 4x50m freestyle relay.
