But stadiums will only be allowed to fill to 25 percent of their capacity amid the coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Friday.

Poland’s top football league is set to be one of the first in Europe to allow supporters back into stadiums, according to officials.

The Ekstraklasa premier league resumed behind closed doors on Friday after players and club staff tested negative for the coronavirus.

Earlier this week, two Polish Cup quarterfinals were played without spectators, marking the official return of football in Poland after more than two months of coronavirus stoppage.
