The Polish Football Association (PZPN) said in a statement at the weekend that Brzęczek “has been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the test came back positive.”
The statement added that “the standard isolation procedure was applied in accordance with health and safety guidelines.”
Brzęczek, 49, earlier this year agreed a contract extension to manage the Polish national football squad until at least the end of 2021.
Poland is scheduled to play a friendly with Finland on home turf on October 7 before taking on Italy and Bosnia-and-Herzegovina in the Nations League later next month.
Meanwhile, Polish top-flight side Pogoń Szczecin said on Sunday that 30 of its players, staff members and employees had become infected with the coronavirus.
