Meronk was an avid amateur player before he made his professional debut on the European Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2016.
The 28-year-old, who is from the south-western Polish city of Wrocław, is also set to play in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The US Open is being held from June 17 to 20 at Torrey Pines golf course in California.
