Poland wins silver in women's 4x400m relay at Tokyo Olympics

Team Poland won silver in the women's 4x400m relay, capturing 14th medal for the country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Polish team, comprising Natalia Kaczmarek, Iga Baumgart-Witan, Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik, and Justyna Święty-Ersetic clinched their victory in a time of 3:20,53.

The USA won gold, while Jamaica came third.

A number of top officials have expressed their congratulations to the Polish team, including Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and President Andrzej Duda.

Duda wrote on his Twitter account: "Bravo to our 4x400m runners for the silver medal, which they won in style! Congratulations and thank you!"

Polish athletes have so far earned 14 medals, including four gold, five silver and five bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and team Poland is ranked 17th in the overall medal classification.
