The 24-year-old Pole, coached by American Craig Boynton, last week reached the semifinals of the Paris Masters tennis tournament, a feat that also saw him clinch a berth in the season-ending ATP Finals later this month.
Hurkacz in September won his fourth ATP singles title by beating Spain's Pablo Carreno-Busta in the final of the Moselle Open tennis tournament in the French city of Metz.
The Polish player in April won the men's singles at the Miami Open, a major US tournament sometimes referred to as "the fifth Grand Slam."
Meanwhile, countryman Kamil Majchrzak has moved two spots to No. 117 in the latest rankings released on Monday by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic remains No. 1 in the ATP ranking, followed by Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Germany's Alexander Zverev.
Later this month, Hurkacz will join Djokovic, Medvedev and Zverev as well as Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, Russia's Andrey Rublev, Italy's Matteo Berrettini and Norway's Casper Ruud at the season-ending ATP Finals, which will be held in Turin, Italy from November 14 to 21.
