The unusual event happened in the course of Monday's mid-day Ekstraklasa match between Puszcza Niepołomice (16th) and Radomiak Radom (11th).

Radomiak was trailing 0-1 away at Niepołomice for most of the game. The home team took an early lead in the 4th minute when its throw-in in the final third sparked some chaos in Radomiak's box, and Puszcza's Ukrainian centre back Roman Jakuba managed to put the ball in the back of the net.

The score remained unchanged into the 2nd half - and it seemed likely that the home team would keep their 3 points when in the 63rd minute Radomiak's Cape Verde winger Vagner Dias was given a direct red card for a brutal foul.

Just a couple of minutes later though, something amazing happened: Radomiak's goalkeeper Gabriel Kobylak wanted to start his team's attack with a long ball from just outside his penalty area - and (much to his and everyone else's surprise) his 80-metre powerful kick lobbed the opposing goalie Oliwier Zych, bouncing into the net and tying the score at 1-1.

The result held till the final whistle - and the unusual goal settling the score, perfectly befitting April Fools', immediately went viral on social media around the world.
