Handball: Poland beat Argentina at women's worlds

Argentina held the advantage for most of the game, but the Poles managed to tip the scales in their favour towards the end, ultimately emerging victorious, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The win in the Dutch city of Rotterdam marked Poland's first game in the main round of the tournament as the team sets its sights on securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

The Poles, coached by Norwegian Arne Senstad, will face the hosts Netherlands in their next match in the main round of the tournament on Saturday.

Thirty-two teams, including defending champions France, are vying for supremacy in the 2025 World Women’s Handball Championship.

The tournament, co-hosted by the Netherlands and Germany, runs until December 14.
