The 26-year-old Pole, coached by American Craig Boynton, last week reached the semifinals of the men’s singles at the Western & Southern Open tournament in the US city of Cincinnati, where he was beaten by Spain's world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz.
Meanwhile, Kamil Majchrzak, the second-highest ranked Polish player, has dropped five spots to No. 239 in the latest rankings released on Monday by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Spain's Carlos Alcaraz is No. 1 in the ATP ranking, followed by Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Russia's Daniil Medvedev.
