Polish art in France
An exhibition of Polish painting spanning eight decades preceding the regaining of independence by the country in 1918 is on at the Louvre-Lens Museum, located in Lens, some 200 kilometres north of Paris.

Its motto is ‘Presenting the spirit of the nation’.
Interviewed for Radio Poland, exhibition curator Luc Piralla says that the fascinating works by artists such as Matejko, Malczewski and Chełmoński provide an insight into both Polish art and history.
