Over 80 pianists from Poland, Germany , Japan and Ukriane will be taking part in the Chopin Marathon held to celebrate Poland's Independence Day on November 11th.
The marathon is the idea of Polish Radio Chopin, the public boradcaster's thematic channel devoted to the life and output of the great Romantic Composer. Radio Chopin will be celebrating the 104th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence in 1918, after over 123 years of partitions, with all of Chopin's works by opus numbers.
The marathon starts on November 10th in the afternoon, at Polish Radio's Witold Lutosławski concert studio in Warsaw and is to wind up in the evening of November 11th.
