With the help of paintings, sculptures, and photographs, the magic of the Tatra peaks and valleys is captured. The ongoing exhibition at the auction house DESA in Warsaw takes us on a walk through the most poignant memories of the Zakopane region, which remains one of the most popular destinations, not just among Poles, but also tourists.
Over 120 rarely-seen objects from the 1920s and 1930s are on display, including drawings, installations, fabrics, and ceramics. The visitor can also admire the iconic poster "Winter in Poland" by Władysław Skoczylas, but also ... two pairs of skis made in the legendary “Bracia Schiele and S-ka” factory.
