Art restorers help preserve Polish heritage in Italy, France

Experts from the Warsaw-based Polonika National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad say they aim to restore historic paintings at the St. Stanislaus Church in Rome, the oldest Polish parish church outside the country.

The church has brought together Polish people living and visiting the Eternal City since the 16th century.

Renovation work will also be done at the Les Champeaux Cemetery in Montmorency near Paris, a site called the "Pantheon of Polish Emigration."
