The musicians alternated between two stages at a music club in the northeastern city of Białystok, performing from Friday afternoon until shortly after midnight on Sunday as audiences stayed on and applauded throughout the marathon.

Performers included Kasa Chorych, a veteran blues band rooted in Białystok, as well as singers Marek Piekarczyk and Marysia Sadowska, who appeared with the group No Logo.

Organizers called the event both a musical and symbolic success.

"It showed that blues, although often associated with an older generation, still has a strong place in the hearts of listeners," said Marek Gąsiorowski, a journalist and musician who helped organize the marathon.

The event marked the seventh attempt to break the national record for nonstop blues playing in Białystok. The first Blues Marathon in 2018 lasted 28 hours.

In addition to promoting blues music and the cultural heritage of Poland’s eastern Podlasie region, this year's event also had a charitable purpose.

Donations collected during the concert will go to the Polacy znad Niemna Foundation, which supports educational projects for Polish communities beyond the country's eastern border, including Polish-language classes.
