The latest edition of the calendar, produced in 5,000 copies, is a testament to the harmonious coexistence and mutual respect among Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities in the city, according to local officials.

This year’s calendar aligns with significant years for Jews (5784/5) and Muslims (1445/6) and stands as a symbol of Katowice's dedication to promoting interreligious dialogue, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Available free of charge to residents, the calendar serves as a educational resource that teaches the community about the shared aspects of these monotheistic religions. It is distributed at key locations across the city, such as the Tourist Information Center and the University of Silesia's Theological Faculty.

The project was initiated during a joint scientific conference at the University of Silesia's Faculty of Theology. Since its first publication in 2013, the calendar's popularity has surged, necessitating an increase in circulation from an initial 3,000 to over 100,000 copies.

Compiled by representatives of various religious communities in cooperation with the University of Silesia, the calendar serves as an educational tool, symbolizing the city's efforts in building bridges between diverse cultural and religious groups, the PAP news agency reported.
