The move came after the Russian invasion on Ukraine entered the third day on Saturday since Russian leader Vladimir Putin unleashed a full-scale invasion that has killed hundreds of people, forced more than 100,000 to flee Ukraine into Poland in just 48 hours and sparked fears of a wider conflict in Europe.
Prior to the Russian invasion, The Hague had already moved its embassy from Kyiv to Lviv, 70 kilometres from the Polish border in the west of Ukraine last Sunday.
The Netherlands had advised its citizens to leave Ukraine on February 12.
