More than 400,000 war refugees from Ukraine are currently working legally in Poland, official data show.

Now, according to a new survey conducted by recruitment agency EWL and the University of Warsaw, nearly 70 percent of the refugees employed in Poland speak the Polish language at work.

A similar sample of Ukrainian refugee employees was interviewed in Germany for comparison purposes and it turned out that Poland’s western neighbour was a different world altogether.

I  asked EWL International Development Director Michalina Sielewicz to elaborate more on the survey’s findings.
