Their mentorship programme has attracted highly influential tech companies, including the first Lithuanian "unicorn" Vinted, and partners known across Europe, such as Barclays.
Created in 2017, Women Go Tech last year expanded to neighbouring countries, including Poland.
Radio Poland's Danuta Isler spoke to Jarūnė Preikšaitė, CEO of Women Go Tech, who emphasized the urgency of their mission during a visit to Warsaw this week.
“We see that we have the same problem in the region, as statistics show a lack of appreciation for gender diversity in the ICT field," Preikšaitė said.
"Yes, we are still talking about many problems, from stereotypes to the sticky floor effect, and, yes, the glass ceiling is still there," she added, highlighting the issue of gender inequality.
