"Today we have struck this landmark deal with the EU," British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Monday.
“A new partnership between an independent Britain and our allies in Europe, it marks a new era in our relationship," he added.
While the EU remains the UK’s largest trading partner, British exports to the bloc have fallen by more than 20 percent since Brexit, while imports have declined by 7 percent.
