Media reports claim that captured Ukrainian soldiers are being sent to "transfer camps", some in Siberia.
Amnesty International has warned that captured Ukrainian soldiers, especially those who surrendered in Mariupol, have been "dehumanised" by Russian propaganda, referring to them as "neo-Nazis".
"This characterization raises serious concerns over their fate as prisoners of war," Amnesty warns. Dehumanising characterizations have frequently preceded human rights abuses in other conflict zones.
