Battle for Donbas: Ukrainian morale against Russian "brute force" - media analysis

The Independent and Times Radio have presented ongoing analysis of the military situation in Donbas. The sheer scale and range of Russian arms is playing a greater role than hitherto.

Military analyses from the British Independent and Times Radio suggest that Ukraine faces a more gruelling fight in Donbas than before.

The Times Radio describes the fight as "Ukrainian morale versus Russian brute force", while the Independent emphasizes Russia's superior artillery (20x larger) and ammunition (40x larger) levels.

Furthermore, the range of Russian missiles is 40 to 300 km, while Ukraine is limited to 25 km.

The USA has increased the range of missiles provided to Ukraine, however Biden has emphasized that  “We are not encouraging or enabling Ukraine to strike beyond its borders. We do not want to prolong the war just to inflict pain on Russia.”
