"Generally we see clearly a pattern, I think, in terms of the number, scale and breadth of attacks against the power grids of Ukraine and we need to look at why that's taking place; are they legitimate targets or not?" Prosecutor Karim Khan said, as cited by the Reuters news agency.

Russian attacks on the Ukrainian power grid and other infrastructure have killed hundreds of civilians and left millions without electricity or water, according to officials.

During his visit, Khan met with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform reported.

Zelensky said in a social media post that he told Khan "that the heinous crimes committed by the Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine must not go unpunished."

"The perpetrators must be brought to justice,” Zelensky stated, as quoted by Ukrinform.

Tuesday was day 370 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
