According to the Polish foreign ministry, the EU's Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting will focus on "the geopolitical consequences of Russia’s aggression" in Ukraine.

During the gathering, EU foreign ministers are also expected to discuss the bloc's cooperation with Brazil, Kazakhstan, Nigeria and Chile, officials said.

The Polish foreign minister said in a policy speech in parliament earlier this month that Russia's aggressive policies posed the greatest threat to peace in Europe and Poland's security.

He declared at the time that his country's aim was to stop "Russia's imperial ambitions."

Monday is day 425 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
