During their conversation on Wednesday, Poland's President Andrzej Duda and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky held "consultations on the security situation in connection with Russia's ongoing aggression in Ukraine," according to the Polish President's Office.
Zelensky said on Twitter that he had "a meaningful conversation" with Duda.
"We discussed the situation on the battlefield and the needs of Ukrainian defenders," Zelensky said.
He added that he "thanked Poland for the implementation of the agreements reached in the field of defense assistance."

He also tweeted: "We agreed on further steps in the context of preparations for the NATO summit. We continue to work together to make Ukraine's NATO membership a reality."
NATO allies are set to hold a key summit in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius on July 11 and 12.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
Thursday is day 477 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
