The museum is the brainchild of Hazis Vardar, a theatre owner and producer who has founded similar Banksy museums in Paris, Brussels, Lisbon, Prague, Barcelona, Milan and Dubai.

During Tuesday’s press launch, Vadar described the show as “a gallery that tells us about the condition of the world as it is perceived by Banksy.”

He added that ”the works on display present a certain point of view on all the important events that are happening in today’s world.”

The exhibition includes more than 150 images of Banksy’s graffiti that were created over the past few years on the walls of buildings in cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, Naples and Venice, as well as Ukraine's Kyiv, Borodyanka, Hostomel and Irpin.

There are also copies of Banksy’s works in the form of pictures, graphic prints and collages.

The Banksy Museum, which is located in postindustrial interiors of a former factory in Kraków's Kazimierz district, opens its doors to the general public on Thursday.

Born in Bristol around 1974, Banksy rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with his provocative and unique style. His real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation.
