In an article for the German daily Die Welt, Kasparov argued that Ukraine possesses the capability to defeat Russian President Vladimir Putin but lacks sufficient support.

"Already today, NATO countries, if they wanted, could arm Ukraine from their available stocks," Kasparov said, expressing his frustration with the current level of assistance.

He criticized US President Joe Biden's administration and Europe for their reluctance to fully acknowledge and respond to the severity of the war.

"Europe refuses to recognize the reality: the war is already here," Kasparov wrote.

He praised Poland's stance, highlighting the call by its new Prime Minister Donald Tusk for the full mobilization of European countries against Putin. He urged the rearmament of Ukraine, emphasizing the need for weapons and ammunition.

Drawing historical parallels, Kasparov compared the current situation to the appeasement policies of Britain and France towards German leader Adolf Hitler in the 1930s, remarking, "after two years of observing how Putin commits genocide in Ukraine, the heads of Western states and governments know exactly what Putin wants: to destroy Ukraine."

Kasparov also questioned the global activism landscape, noting the disparity in attention and action towards different conflicts.

"Every day, activists protest in defense of the Gaza Strip, but who comes to the defense of Ukraine?" he asked.
