Sikorski said the funds, drawn from the Foreign Ministry budget, would be transferred before the end of the year to support Ukraine’s defence needs.

As reported by Beata Płomecka, Brussels correspondent for Polskie Radio, PURL – Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List – is a programme through which NATO allies purchase US arms and ammunition according to priorities set by Kyiv.

Over half of NATO members signed up for the initiative during last month’s defence ministers’ meeting in Brussels.

Poland had initially opted out but decided to join after further consideration.

Poland's top diplomat, who arrived in Brussels on Wednesday evening, held a dinner meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte the same day.

Prawdziwi Sojusznicy stawiają na współpracę. To działa. Odstraszanie to nie slogan. To praca domowa. Wieczór z Sekretarzem Generalnym NATO.
