US, Ukraine report 'highly productive' talks on peace proposal in Geneva
US and Ukrainian officials held what both sides described as "constructive, focused and respectful" talks in Geneva on Sunday as they worked to refine Washington's proposed peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, according to a White House statement.

The discussions produced "meaningful progress toward aligning positions and identifying clear next steps," the statement said.
Negotiators "drafted an updated and refined peace framework," which the White House said "must fully uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty" and provide the basis for a "just and lasting peace."
Ukraine's delegation "reaffirmed its gratitude" for US support and thanked President Donald Trump personally for his efforts "aimed at ending the war and the loss of life," the White House said.
Both countries agreed to continue intensive consultations in the coming days and to remain in close contact with European partners as the process moves forward.
Any final decisions under the emerging framework will be made by the presidents of the United States and Ukraine, according to the statement.
"Both sides reiterated their readiness to continue working together to secure a peace that ensures Ukraine's security, stability, and reconstruction," the White House said.
