Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, peace negotiator and leading teacher of Yoga and Meditation, is visiting Poland this weekend. The culmination of the trip will be a Meditation for Peace at Warsaw's Torwar at 17.00 on Sunday.
The event will also include a world music concert with Polish musicians Artur Dutkiewicz, Piotr Rodowicz and Dominika Łakomska.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, often referred to as "Sri Sri", has contributed to several peace initiatives across the world in highly fraught conflicts such as Columbia, Venezuela, northern India and Iraq (as reuters reports.)

His conviction is that inner peace at the individual achieved through Yoga, breathing techniques and meditation will lead to peace at the societal and global level. "No outer peace without inner peace," he says.
The Polish visit is part of a new campaign #IStandForPeace. Sri Sri has said, "How can I as an individual contribute towards World Peace? If a million of us have this intention of “I stand up for peace,” we can make magic. When 1% of the population meditates, it elevates the collective consciousness."
Sri Sri has congratulated Polish efforts to provide humanitarian support for Ukraine.
