Poland launches a nationwide anti-disinformation project for children

Poland is launching a nationwide media-education and anti-disinformation program called "What the FEJK," designed to equip primary and secondary school students with the tools to critically assess digital content.

Led by the National Centre for Film Culture in Łódź, the project addresses the fact that over half of young adults rely solely on social media and AI for news by teaching them how to verify sources and recognize manipulation. The initiative, valued at over $3.5 million, officially begins on September 17 and will feature thematic lectures, historical cinema analysis, and hands-on laboratory workshops focused on deepfakes and media creation.
