According to the Polish Senate, the meeting highlighted traditionally strong cooperation and alliance ties between the two countries. British Ambassador Melinda Simmons also attended.
Polish-UK talks focus on NATO and security cooperation
During the discussion, Kidawa-Błońska and Lord McFall emphasized the importance of dialogue amid complex global developments, as well as Poland’s contributions to NATO, including nearly 5% of GDP on defense spending.

On Wednesday, Kidawa-Błońska and Lord McFall will visit the NATO Multinational Battle Group at the Land Forces Training Centre near the town of Orzysz in northeastern Poland to meet commanders from Britain, Romania, Croatia and Poland, and to observe a static display of equipment, and share lunch with the troops.

Lord McFall to attend Chopin Competition awards gala
On Tuesday evening, Lord McFall was expected to attend the awards gala and concert of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition at the Grand Theatre–National Opera in Warsaw.
Eric Lu, an American pianist of Chinese descent, was named as the winner of the competition early on Tuesday.
