It added that Poland’s top diplomat Radosław Sikorski assured his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan of Warsaw's solidarity with Turkey in the face of Iran’s military actions against the NATO member.
"Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski held a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the ministers discussed security issues as well as the political and economic consequences of the conflict in the Middle East region," the Polish foreign ministry said on X.
"The ministers confirmed that dialogue and respect for the rule of law are the only proper ways to resolve the region's problems," it added.
Since the launch of Israeli and US attacks on Iran on February 28, Iranian forces have fired two ballistic missiles into Turkish airspace, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Both were shot down by NATO air and missile defence systems over the eastern Mediterranean, it said.
Turkey's defence ministry on Tuesday announced the deployment of a US Patriot air defence system in the country's southeast to bolster defences against potential Iranian strikes.
Poland has condemned attempts to widen the conflict in the Middle East, urging all sides to exercise maximum restraint and respect international law.
