New CEO for Polish state-run oil and gas giant

Polish state-run oil and gas company PGNiG has chosen former finance minister Jerzy Kwieciński as its new CEO.

The supervisory board of the energy giant chose Kwieciński for the high-profile post on Thursday.

He replaces Piotr Woźniak, who has headed the company since December 2015.

PGNiG is Poland’s largest importer and supplier of natural gas.

It has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since September 2005.
